Tap Into Body Wisdom

April 10, 2012 Leave a comment

Creative visualization of top performance right down to the cellular level is a crazy awesome way to wake up your body’s natural inclination to look, feel, and just be at your best!

What you consciously tell your subconscious (that part of your mind that basically runs all of the systems that your conscious mind doesn’t have to)… is what will become true.

I visualize each and every cell of my body working in concert with one another to achieve top condition and perfect health.

“Each cell in an organism contains the entire DNA code for making the entire organism. Humans consist of billions of cells and the entire code is stored in each cell.” Intro to Evolution, Genetics and Molecular Biology

Your body should crave healthy food and exercise when it’s time!

Get Going

October 12, 2010 2 comments

Sometimes, in life, you find yourself in a place that seems like you should already be somewhere else. Like you should already have gotten over something, or gotten something done, or prepared yourself for something that you knew was going to happen.

I am telling you, right now, that your moment of boredom/fear/laziness was OK. However, if you are reading this, then you need to know that now it’s your time to get going.

OK, the break is over. Now is the time to get up and get going.

Stay Young 4ever

September 10, 2010 2 comments

Feeling a little run down? Then you are probably looking run down. The truth is age really is a state of mind. Don’t buy into the hype that you aren’t still beautiful and youthful at any age. So pick and age and stay there. (Well, I guess it isn’t that simple so I looked up some great tips too get young again. See bottom part of this post after the positive affirmations and photos.)

I look young.

I feel young.

I am young.

Things to STOP doing so that you can reclaim and enjoy your youth:

Stressing Out

Stress has been shown to accelerate aging and disease – anything you can do to reduce stress has to be good. So how about laughing more?Recent research has shown that laughter really does help us in managing stress. Adopting a humorous view of life’s difficulties can take the edge off everyday stressful situations. Laughter prevents stress building up and stops the release of damaging stress hormones into the body.

Dwelling on Experiences Long Past

There are also those that dwell in the past. Replaying past events and justifying their current condition denies them present moment happiness. Regrets take us away from the moment and lead us to unhappiness and the notion that we have been wronged leads to bitterness and hatred. In fact spending time dwelling on the past or future often leads us down a path of negative emotions. Worry, anxiety, depression, hatred and stress etc all contribute to the aging process because their effects play out in the physical world (our body).

Skipping Out on the ZZZZZzzzzzzz

Sleep is the time of the day when the body rebuilds, repairs and re energizes for the next day. The skin is the largest organ of the body and without the proper levels of sleep, it will also be the largest age-showing part of your life. At the surface of the skin are millions of cells that die off each day due to environmental influences, dry skin and sun damage. While lotions and cream may ease the effects of these factors, sleep is the only regenerative cycle that can truly undo the effects of the day. Without enough sleep, the skin will be unable to rebuild those dead and dying cells and this is when aging occurs.

Mind Over Allergens

One of my favorite posts about health was called: My Tiny Army. This post is an extension of that. Science Clarified tells us: An allergy is an extreme or overly sensitive response of the immune system to harmless substances in the environment. The immune system launches a complex series of actions against an irritating substance, referred to as an allergen. This affirmation helps you to be in control of your body and prevent that over-reaction.

My highly evolved immune system is so pervasive that it responds to toxins in my environment without over-reacting.

Mast cell stabilizers reduce inflammation by preventing the release of chemicals such as histamines from mast cells. You can tell your body how to react to these foreign agents.

Get Back Up

It is not how many times I trip in my stiletto heels that counts, but it is how many times I get back up and strut.

Saving Earth

We have but one planet to call home. We must stop being wasteful. We must work together and clean up the messes that we have made.

I love Earth, and I am doing everything in my power to save her.

the beauty of nature

It’s time to evolve.

If these stories about the oil spills messing up the Florida beaches and killing ocean life aren’t a good enough wake up call, what will it take?

Go with the Flow

It’s OK to just go with the flow sometimes.

Swim on your back

Has life got you all tied up in knots? Stop, close your eyes, and decide if it’s a good time to go with the flow.

How to float on your back while swimming or swim on your back:

  1. take a deep breath
  2. and

  3. lie back.
