Forgiving Myself

January 10, 2012 1 comment

I forgive myself.

Ok, so that thing(s) you’ve done in your past… You know, the one(s) that make(s) you cringe when you are reminded of them? … Yeah, it’s time to forgive yourself for it and stop just “hanging in there”.

I don’t know why I wanted this photo for this positive affirmation
– I guess just because it looks like she’s on a small ledge of a steep cliff. It’ll remind me to climb up and out of self-doubt due to mess-ups I’ve made in the past? What do you think?

Cheers to your New Year love! ♥

Potential for Renewal

I was reading a book called “the Element” by Ken Robinson Ph.D. – Dr. Robinson wrote about how we sometimes disable ourselves because of our belief that we’ve missed an opportunity or will never have one in the first place. (I am paraphrasing a bit here.) Something that really stuck with me was when he said that too many of us fail to notice that we all have a “constant potential for renewal”.

I always have the potential for renewal.

So, there you have it. Charge your batteries on the empowering fact that you have a lot of control over your own fate. Embrace your renewal and try again.

Negative Energy Sources

October 1, 2011 2 comments

Are you feeling October yet? Don’t worry, it’s just the first day! 🙂

I will actively protect myself against all negative energy and people.

One really big issue I have is taking on other people’s problems, anxieties, and other outside negative energy in general.

The trouble with this is that it is completely draining and nothing is solved by my misery because 99.9% of the time, it is completely out of my control and frankly none of my business.

God Sometimes

Dear God, whoever, wherever, whatever you are. . .
If you can hear me, I want to thank you for each way that you have given us with all of the order and disorder, so that we might know both. Somehow you perfectly allow nighttime (darkness / pain / fear / shame) to happen long enough for us to realize (and wholly or partly appreciate) the day (light / comfort / courage / confidence).

I find comfort in you God.

Pray a prayer that is true to you, and the answer, will be as supernatural as you need for it to be will come.

– Because we are not perfect enough to think of God always.

How to Meditate

1. Breathe yourself into this moment.
2. Be grateful for where you are.
3. Know and repeat this sentence: “I am healthy.” (Not, “I think I’m healthy.” or “I will be healthy.” I am healthy. )
(Replace the word “healthy” with another strong adjective. E.G. “great”, “beautiful”, “intelligent”, “happy”… you get the point. 🙂 )
4. Repeat daily and anytime you need to feel renewal.

As I breathe myself into this moment, I have peace and health and happiness all at once.

The rainy day is over. Long live the sunshine.

I love the rain, for without it, I would never get to see rainbows.

Get to You

I am breaking my own rule and adding a negative contraction to my “positive affirmation”.

Because sometimes, you need to NOT do or let certain things happen to have balance in your life.

I won’t let this get to me.

I guess this one gets it’s own tag: affirmations.
